Words of Praise

Chef Carlos and his wife Tani are truly a class act. I own a home in Playa Car (Casa Blanca). Carlos and Tani have cooked for many of my guests over the years. I have never heard anything except huge praise from every guest. Typical comments are like "our trip was great and one of the highlights was the days/nights we had Carlos and Tani cook for us" or "we were not sure if we were paying for the great meal or the wonderful entertainment" "It was like a cruise ship experience in our own home" I feel very fortunate to be able to refer these two wonderful people to the guests that use my home. I have of course had the pleasure of having them serve my family with incredible meal. My favorite is the "Spanish Tortilla" I would confidentially recommend them in every circumstance.

What a treat! We contacted Chef Carlos of Epicurean Chef Services to prepare a "welcome to Playa" meal at our rented condo at the beginning of our visit to Playa Del Carmen. It was outstanding! He and his wife, Tani, prepared Mole Oaxaqueño as the entree: Chicken breast covered with traditional black mole (made with several kinds of "chiles", almond, peanut, cinnamon, chocolate, sesame and other traditional ingredients, served with poblano rice.) Delicious, and served in our own place! We also used Epicurean Chef Services to pre-stock the unit for us (based on our list) so that our essentials were there and waiting for us. And not only was the meal a delight; so were our hosts, Chef Carlos and Tani. BTW, we didn't get a chance to try the restaurant he manages, "Tierra Espana" but it has to be good. We can't wait to get back together with them on a future visit.

I visit Playa del Carmen regularly with my family and when ever we have a party Carlos and Tani supply the catering. The food is always superb (ask for the arrachera!) and it is serviced with a smile and good humour. Carlos and Tani give you total peace of mind because you know the food they prepare will be excellent. I can't recommend them highly enough.

While on a recent vacation in Playa del Carmen we had the pleasure of having Carlos and his wife, Tani, prepare brunch for us. We chose the Sinaloa Breakfast with fresh breads, ftruits , eggs & "chlorio" tacos covered with chipolte & bean salsa with grated oaxaca cheese. We were very pleased with all you two did for us. The meals were delicious, with a variety. I felt you filled our shopping list completely and it was just the right amount. As you could tell we only had limes and apples left over.

We will definitely keep you in mind if we return to the area next year. It was such a treat not to have to worry about what we were fixing for the night or dragging the kids out early and trying to pick a restaurant for us all.

Stay in your villa and experience Mexican cuisine from all over the country!! Eight of us (including three children 3 to 11) were truly fortunate to have Carlos and Tani of Epicurean Chef Services for a week in Playa del Carmen. The food was fantastic and educational as they prepared dishes from other regions in Mexico and Carlos explained what they were and their regional origins. They were also very tolerant and helpful with the children and regularly prepared less spicy versions of the dishes for them. Carlos also provided the traditional singing for the piñata we had for the 7 year old's birthday party. I highly recommend them--Silicon Valley CEO

We've all been telling everybody about how great the food that you made us was. I can honestly say that I would change absolutely nothing about your service, the food was spectacular, you guys were great, it was very affordable and an all around pleasant evening, we'll definitely look you up next year when we go back, we may have to book you for the whole week in advance!

We had such a great time while in Playa....didn't want it to end. I was a little hesitant to stay in a villa and have someone cook for us but everything went so smoothly. You and Carlos were great!

We enjoyed the variety of foods you prepared for us and that you accommodated us picky eaters! I absolutely loved the bean soup, I'm going to try it at home. Thanks for sharing the origins of the food and what spices you used to create them. I must say the most entertaining night was our cooking and bar tending lesson. What fun! You both made our stay in Casa Chacc a memorable one.

We had such a great time in Mexico with you. Ella keep asking "Where are the cookers?'. You made our vacation so special and enjoyable. Thank you very much for your chef services! Everything you served our family, including our 2-year old grand-daughter, Sabrina, was fabulous!!!! From chicken enchiladas to Mahi-Mahi was perfect! It was a nice touch and very interesting that Carlos added a brief history of each dish with every meal. We miss the soups and salsas all made from scratch! You spoiled us while we were there!!!

You made our visit with our family even more special than we could have done by going out to eat!! We recommend you highly. The drink you shared with us, "Rombumbe", (not sure of the spelling) was such a treat for our birthday celebration.

Carlos and Tani supplied the catering for my son's birthday and they were superb. We had friends and family there from all over Mexico plus from the US and Europe. They all complimented us on how great the food was and on how friendly Carlos and Tani were. Some of them even said it was the best food they had eaten in Mexico. I would recommend them to anyone.
